However in my opinion is not such a bad thing there is innovation in this game. Being able to select your own path through the Galaxy being able to choose how you interact with encounters through dialogue choices gives the old forum A new kind of twistGraphically is not the best however a one-man team built game So expecting triply graphics is asking way too much but gameplay is very fun once you get handle of the controls. However in my opinion improvements to the UI and introduction of some tooltips would greatly improve the game.If you Have played homeworld and are looking for a good space RTS This is a game for you especially at £10.99 GBP. Nomad Fleet is a labor of love by one developer who has a passion for science fiction and strategy games. Playing through the campaign everything feels familiar - like coming back to an old book you read in you youth.There's not much to the story. But then again, does there need to be? We all bought this game because we loved the older 3D RTS that sadly don't make much of an appearance any more. We bought this game to remind us of our favorite scifi universes - B5, BSG, Farscape, etc...We are all here because this game is both comfortable and comforting. All at once a familiar blend of your favorite scifi games, shows, books, and movies while still being it's own game. And for a price of $15? No need to wait for a sale. It is definitelly a good game but by my humble opinion developers rushed it a little bit. There are few flaws which if fixed this could be really good game.NF is basicly Homeworld BUT with FTL ideology. It means no depth of the game just the pure fun and little bit strategy.Im big Homeworld fan and this are cons and proscons:1. Missing "D" for dock shortcut really important2. No retire for the ship: not needed so much but It would help3. Camera movement is a bit tricky but you can get use to it4. No ship stats. Damage HP5. Comandship cannot fight so its HW all over again no cataclism....pitty6. No guard command: This is huge guys we need to set guard7. NO FORMATIONS OMG what how?.Did you ever play HW?....so basicly you send your fighters with bombers to attack something and your fighters are there first so they die until bombers arive. Ok for short periods... It does give you an urge to play Homeworld and then you'll go play Homeworld and then you'll be happy.Buy if dicounted. This game seems to have set out with a good core idea, but the execution doesn't seem to gel very well. The camera controls are bad enough that it makes it very hard to keep track of what is happening and be able to effectively select and deliver orders to your units. Those kinds of UI issues are the reason that I bounced off of this game as hard as I did.The idea of the bite size RTS engagements with a light strategic layer and set end goals has merit and I would love to see the developer continue to iterate on and improve the game over time, but as it stands now I don't foresee myself devoting much more time to the game. If you see Nomad Fleet on sale and are willing to take a chance, then I'd say give it a try.. A great game. Homeworld meets FTL in a sense, with that Battlestar Galactica scenario making it intense at sometimes!Great for a fresh new game to play. Not very long, but very fun.
